The Controlling department acts as a Business Partner supporting management in decision making processes with relevant analysis and guidance.
As an Operations and Supply Chain Controller you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness of the supply chain operations across our different product categories (footwear, equipment, apparel, bindings and skins), contributing to the optimization of the Oberalp Group’s financial performance.
You will be directly reporting to the Group Controlling Director and will be the Business Partner for Supply Chain team (including Demand, Product Development, Logistics, Purchasing and Production).

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Act as the key person challenging the business function to find areas for improvement to ensure effective business decision making, robust financial control environment
  • For our plants based in Romania and Germany, be responsible for: monitoring production process & result control; calculation of production steps; plan-actual deviations analysis (price and quantity); procurement monitoring, integrate production planning into corporate planning
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Developing and managing budgets for supply chain operations and providing financial forecasts to support decision-making
  • Cost Optimization: Identifying opportunities to reduce costs within the supply chain by analyzing pricing strategies, vendor contracts, transportation expenses, and other cost drivers
  • Risk Management: Assessing financial risks within the supply chain and developing strategies to mitigate them, including contingency planning for supply disruptions.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the supply chain
  • Support long-term planning for production sites and develop business plans for new projects
  • Plan investments in future manufacturing systems and preparation of investment calculations
  • Support the long-term orientation of the production program and long-term program planning,
  • Support SWOT of the production technologies used
  • Prepare strategic make-or-buy decisions, reconciliation of manufacturing capacities; capacity and bottleneck control of production facilities
  • Oversee and optimize financial operations and standard of our owned production plants
  • Prepare financial analysis and present reports to man

Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in, finance, business administration, business informatics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 3-5 years proven experience in Controlling, (experience in production controlling is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments
  • Strong experience with ERP systems
  • Proficient in MS Excel, including Power Pivot. Preferred experience with Power BI or similar data analysis and reporting tools
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent in English
