SAP CONSULTANT
Purpose
The goal of the SAP Consultant is to provide support for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System by supporting and providing basic training to end users, executing assigned ERP projects, generating, and improving reports, implementing enhancements incl. coordination and execution of the testing and approval, support migration of new releases and being a primary contact with the ERP service provider.
Responsibilities
Performs diagnostic tests, troubleshoots and resolves issues reported by end users to optimize system performance
Support the design, development and implementation of systems that are fit for purpose and free from fundamental design flaws with the input form project teams made up of user and technical personnel
Works with and support of business process owners to ensure effective use of ERP system by debugging, creating connections to other systems for exchange of data and overall application of improvements to get the most out of the ERP system (including the support for report writing and statistics gathering)
Collaborates closely with all business functions to determine their ERP-related needs and support in relation to the system
Provide technical support and upgrades, including managing day-to-day maintenance on the system, new user installation and user maintenance, as well as support of any system upgrades, outages, configuration & development of system including the associated testing
Provide basic end user training to new employees as well as the setup and update of user and their role
Review, develop and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in evaluating and optimizing processes, striving to deliver process automation, efficiencies, and improved accuracy
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, Finance/Accounting or related education is required
SAP Certification is preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an SAP Consultant role within a multinational environment is required
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook)
Intermediate knowledge of a BI-system or other similar Reporting Tools
Minimum 1 full life cycle SAP implementation is preferred
Must be proficient in spoken and written English; German is a plus
