The Legal and Commercial Team are a diverse team which includes legal professionals, contract managers, commercial managers and IP specialists. The role is based in Redbank, Ipswich with the opportunity to work from home.

About the Role

The Paralegal and Governance Officer provides high quality support across legal, contracting and governance functions. The role reports into General Manager Legal and Commercial and Company Secretary (GM Legal) and assist the GM Legal and broader team in delivering efficient, compliant and effective services to the business. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing paralegal support: conducting legal research, maintain precedents and assisting with reviewing legal documents;
• Governance and company secretary support: assisting with ASIC filings, preparing board packs, drafting resolutions and maintaining the delegations of authority; and
• Contract administration and document control.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

• Experience in a governance or paralegal role;
• Experience in document control processes and administration;
• Highly proficient in MS Office Professional suite;
• Demonstrate a high level of accountability, self-motivation and drive;
• High discretion and professionalism when handling confidential matters;
• Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
