Aufgaben
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure plant availability and make sure all mechanical maintenance spares are available within a reasonable time frame.
- Support plant management with mechanical problem solving.
- Do the necessary risk assessments of all the mechanical maintenance tasks at hand.
- Manage the budget effectively and in a cost saving manner.
- Manage the day-to-day administrative activities for the employees reporting to the position
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of employees by inspecting and on the job supervision.
- Do visual inspections of work to be done and on the job risk assessment.
- Co-ordinate and monitor schedules with plant managers.
- Implement and monitor OEE’s for bottlenecks, plant and equipment to ensure optimum performance and efficiencies.
- Develop and implement strategic plan (1-3 years) to address upgrading of plants/processes (modifications, new technology/equipment)
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Co-ordinate and initiate technical investigations into problem areas regarding maintenance
- Must be able to analyse and interpret problems on different types of highly complicated machines, equipment and processes of different types and make decisions to solve the problems on his own.
- Must be able to make quick decisions and judgements within general company policies with little technical guidance.
- Manage human resources and labor relations within own department to create good relations and climate to work in.
- Develop and motivate employees to change behavior to accomplish business plan.
- Ability to lead people.
- Communicate to all level of personnel and people from outside (suppliers)
- Ability for change, efficiency and effectiveness orientated, results orientated, listening and questioning, influencing, decisiveness and good leadership qualities
- Adheres and implements Rheinmetall Denel Munitions Policies and Procedures and ensures compliance to ISO Standards with respect to SHE/Quality/Environmental/Energy.
Profil
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or NQF 6 equivalent Qualification.
- 5 years’ experience in a Maintenance Environment or N3 with 10 years experience in a Maintenance Environment.
- Computer Literacy.
- Good administration skills.
- Good communication, planning and organizing skills.
- Financial Management.
- Flexible and exceptional interpersonal skills.
