About the Team
Working as part of the wider ILS team, the Technical Data Manager (TDM) will work closely with our Engineering and Configuration Management teams both in Australia and overseas to satisfy customer data requirements whilst also adhering to Rheinmetall data management protocols. The TDM will be based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence in Redbank, Queensland.
About the Role
The Technical Data Manager will be responsible for compiling, tracking and delivering technical data products and technical publications as part of the project support system program. As the technical data SME, you will oversea the development of IETPs and other technical publications, working with maintenance, production, engineering, training specialists and customer representatives. The successful applicant can expect some of their taskings to include:
- Working with Integrated Logistic Support Managers in the development, completion and delivery of technical documentation and data deliverables;
- Manage the development, review and delivery of the Technical Data Plan (TDP) and Technical Data List (TDL);
- Mange the collection and delivery of codification data (CDATA);
- Oversee the development of Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP) in accordance with S1000D and S2000M;
- Identify data deficiencies and develop solutions to ensure contracted requirements and schedules are satisfied; and
- Mentor junior team members in understanding the management of technical data and the development of technical data product.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Tertiary qualifications in data management, logistics or related disciplines;
- Proven experience in technical data in a Defence or similar project environment;
- Proficiency in DEF(AUST) 5691;
- Proficiency in S1000D and S2000M; and
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
