About the Team

The Risk Officer, based at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE) in Redbank, Queensland will work with the wider Program Management Office (PMO) and play an important part in protecting the business from risk. Reporting into the Risk Lead, this small but dedicated team work cohesively with a number of internal stakeholders to assist with identifying and mitigating risk across our projects.

About the Role

The Risk Officer will play a key role in supporting RDA’s project/program risk management system. This position implements and governs over the project risk management system including coordinating the conduct of the project/program Risk Board. You can expect some of your daily tasking to include:

• Facilitation of Risk Assessments and mitigation/action planning;
• Conducting Risk Monitoring and Reviews;
• Reporting on Risk Performance and metrics;
• Controlling data quality;
• Training project team members; and
• Administration of our Risk Management software (ARM);

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:

• Risk Management experience and/or suitable qualifications in risk or project management;
• Analytical approach and structured problem-solving abilities;
• Effective engagement and collaboration skills in light of competing priorities;
• Proficiency with I.T applications, with particular focus on MS Office and Risk Management Tools
• Ability to adapt, learn, prioritise and structure work within a complex program environment; and
• Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
