Aufgaben

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will serve as a technical expert within the business, responsible for ensuring manufacturing processes and systems are production-ready, safe, and efficient. You’ll support both in-house operations and supplier integration, helping drive continuous improvement across manufacturing activities.

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of Rheinmetall products and manufacturing processes to support operations and customer needs
  • Lead supplier assessments, including capacity, risk, and technical compliance reviews and ensure alignment with production requirements
  • Manage design adjustments to balance technical feasibility and cost
  • Oversee the transfer of designs and prototypes into series production
  • Create clear, safe, and compliant manufacturing instructions
  • Coordinate with HSE and Operations for equipment and safety assessments
  • Support quality checks, operator training, and tooling readiness with relevant teams
  • Drive production improvements by optimizing methods, layouts, and tooling
  • Lead on-site problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation and work instructions

Profil

  • Engineering Degree with experience in Manufacturing Engineering is preferred
  • Professional knowledge of relevant Engineering standards (including SHE regulations)
  • Experience in performing route cause analysis and reporting on countermeasures
  • An independent, structured and team-oriented way of working is self-evident for you
  • A high level of comprehension, very good communication skills and a good English knowledge
  • A high level of analytical, business management thinking characterizes you
  • You have the willingness to take occasional business trips
  • Experience working with SAP is an advantage
