- Architect and build advanced blockchain protocols with a focus on consensus, security, interoperability, and IBC standards
- Lead the implementation of both testnet and mainnet environments, including validator nodes, relayers, and core infrastructure services
- Drive protocol design discussions across leading ecosystems such as Cosmos, ICP, Sui, Solana, and Akash
- Build, hire, and mentor a high-performing blockchain engineering team from the ground up
- Communicate complex technical trade-offs directly with executives and AI-focused teams
- Leverage AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, and others to accelerate engineering workflows
- Deliver a reference application inspired by ICP, showcasing innovation and technical excellence
- Engage directly with C-level technical leaders from prominent blockchain protocols
- Demonstrate deep expertise in smart contracts and DAPs
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
Profil
- Advanced academic background: PhD preferred, or at least a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Blockchain Technologies, Systems Engineering, Networks, or a closely related technical field
- Demonstrated success in architecting and deploying blockchain protocols
- Deep expertise in Cosmos SDK, IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication standards), Internet Computer Protocol (ICP), and Akash
- Strong proficiency in smart contract development using Motoko, Rust, and Solidity
- Extensive experience in designing and building distributed systems
- Profound leadership experience in blockchain protocol development
- Proven ability to hire, lead, and scale high-performing Web3 engineering teams
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-level executives and cross-functional teams
